We would like to say hi to everyone who visits our site. Whether you are involved in Scouting or not, everyone is welcome to surf our site and feel free to recommend it to your friends. Firstly we would like to explain to you all what Explorer Scouts are and a little bit about us.
Explorer Scouts are boys/girls from the age of 14 yrs until they reach 18 yrs old. Explorers have only been part of the Scouting movement for a short while, the reorganisation of the movement a short while ago saw the closing of Venture Scout section and the beginning of the Explorer Scout section... Explorers is a follow on from Scouts, but you dont have to be a Scout to join Explorers.
In our Explorers we do a wide range of activities over the year. Including the Duke of Edinburgh Award, Young Leaders and other Scouting things. For about 2 years we have had people doing various parts of the D of E award. The Young Leaders scheme runs alongside D of E in our unit - most of us, Explorers, help out at one of the younger sections for the Service part of the Award.
